About Us
​St. Paul's Indian Orthodox Syrian Church of Chattanooga,TN is affiliated with the Diocese of South-West America of the Malankara Orthodox Church. The Diocesan Bishop is His Grace Thomas Mar Ivanios and Rev. Fr. Renin Cherian is the current Vicar of the parish. This is one of the parishes under the South-West American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in India, whose primate is the Catholicos of the East, Catholicos of the Apostolic throne of St.Thomas, and the Malankara Metropolitan residing at the Catholicate Palace, Devalokam, Kottayam, India.

St. Paul's Indian Orthodox Syrian Church of Chattanooga,TN is a non-profit religious organization, incorporated in the State of Tennessee. This church serves the Malankara Orthodox faithfull from Chattanooga,TN Knoxville,TN and surrounding areas. For the spiritual well-being of its members, Liturgy takes place once a month and special Liturgical Services on important days per the Malankara Orthodox Church Calendar.​

Our church is under the direct jurisdiction and administration of the Bishop (also called the Metropolitan) of the South-West American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, under the supervision of Catholicos of the East, H.H. Baselios Marthoma Mathews III.
